The domaine de Montcy was founded in the early 1990s having bought the vineyard plots from the Chateau de Troussay. The Chevrier family took over the estate in 2020 and were joined by Vincent Bonnal (photo, left) in the vineyard and in the cellar. A friend of the Chevrier family, he was immediately won over, having a passionate affection for the Romorantin grape. A trained oenologist, he made wines as far away as China before taking over his father's vines, Domaine de Pelissols, in his native Languedoc. This emblematic figure of natural wines now leads the Domaine de Montcy vintages towards excellence. Passionate about wine and creator of several successful web services, Vincent Chevrier (photo, right) represents the Domaine in Paris and abroad.
The estate has been certified Organic since 2012 and Biodynamic (Demeter) since 2015. We thrive to produce high quality wine and are regularly praised by critics.
We produce AOC Cheverny in 3 colours Rosé, Reds and Whites. Our Reds being majority Pinot Noir, Gamay with a hint of Malbec. Our whites are a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
And of course we produce in the unique AOC of Cour-Cheverny, the old renaissance grape (Romorantin) brought to the region by Francois 1er in 1519 for the construction of the Chambord castle.
